The suburb of Hohhot governs the township. Taipingzhuang commune was established in 1958 and changed to township in 1984. Located in the east of the District, 20 kilometers away from the urban area of Hohhot. It covers an area of 100 square kilometers and has a population of 26000. Tai (TAI) Tim (Mi Wan) road transit.
