Zhongbao town

Zhongbao town is located in the northeast of Wuping County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, 45 kilometers away from the county. The town governs 21 administrative villages, rich in limestone, granite, gold, silver, copper and other mineral resources, with limestone reserves of more than 80 million tons, ranking the first in the county, granite reserves of 2.4 million cubic meters, gold, silver and copper reserves of 12, 1766 and 94815 tons respectively, with potential economic value of 5 billion yuan. There is a National Nature Reserve in liangye mountain, the main scenic spots and scenic spots of Shishan.

In 2017, the administrative area was 17661 hectares, with 18725 permanent residents.

On June 29, 2020, it will be included in the list of provincial rural governance demonstration towns.

At the end of 2001, the cultivated land of Zhongbao town was 27245 mu, including 23298 mu of paddy field and 3947 mu of dry land. It is adjacent to Tingjiang River in the East and Liangshan Mountain in the West. There are many Intermountain basins and hills with low slopes. The land is fertile and fertile with mild climate and abundant rainfall. It is suitable for planting a variety of subtropical crops.

The forest area of Zhongbao town is 195000 mu, of which the pine resin forest in the center of Zhufang village extends to 9 villages, covering 89000 mu. It is one of the eight pine resin forest bases in the county. The bamboo forest in Xinhua Village runs through Zhangfeng, Chaoling, Wudi, Daji and other villages, covering 30000 mu.

Zhongbao River and Daji River have a drainage area of 124.3 square kilometers, with an average annual flow of 2112 cubic meters per second, a natural drop of 300 meters, a usable drop of 230 meters, a exploitable water resource of 7130 kilowatts, and 18 power stations with an installed capacity of 6320 kilowatts.

The reserves of granite are 2.4 million cubic meters, and the reserves of gold, silver and copper are 12 tons, 1766 tons and 94815 tons respectively. The potential economic value is 5 billion yuan.

In 2004, the total output value of rural society was 456.69 million yuan, including 99.51 million yuan of agricultural output value and 357.18 million yuan of enterprise output value. The fiscal revenue was 5.38 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3076 yuan.

We should carefully organize the adjustment of field planting structure, popularize new agricultural planting technology, speed up the pace of agricultural structure adjustment, and ensure the steady development of rural economy.

(1) Develop tobacco production. In 2001, the State Bureau planted 6128 mu of fragrant flue-cured tobacco and purchased 1.02 million jin of tobacco. 7800 Mu were planted in 2002.

(2) Pay attention to vegetable planting. In 2001, 13496 Mu was planted in the town with an output of 20327 tons. Five demonstration bases were established in Daji, Wudi, Chaoling and other villages, and famous, special and new varieties such as Xiangyan No. 9 pepper and Dutch bean were planted, covering an area of 1000 mu.

(3) We should do a good job in the comprehensive development of mountainous areas. Hengshan farm and Xianyue farm are two typical examples of mountain comprehensive development. Hengshan farm has developed into a modern three-dimensional agricultural demonstration base integrating planting fruits on the mountain, raising chickens under trees, raising pigs in the valley, raising ducks on the water and raising fish in the water. In 2001, the total area of fruit in the town was 3366 mu, and the output reached 643 tons.

(4) Three flower bases were established in Zhufang, Xinhua and Wushi villages. In 2004, there were 30490 slaughter pigs in the town, and the total meat output reached 2864 tons. Among them, there were more than 200 slaughter pigs per year, 47 specialized households, and more than 18000 slaughter pigs per year. In 2001, there were 304 township enterprises with 2162 employees, with an output value of 229.84 million yuan. They are mainly hydropower, mining and mineral processing. There are 12 hydropower stations and 5 metal mining and selection sites.
