Gutao town

Gutao town is the seat of Pingyao County Government. Located in the southern end of Taiyuan Basin, it is adjacent to Qixian in the East, Wenshui in the north, Fenyang in the west, Jiexiu in the southwest, Qinyuan in the south, Qinxian and Wuxiang in the southeast. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is one of the most dynamic economic towns in Pingyao County, bordering yuebi Township and Duancun town in the south, Zhongdu Township in the west, Nanzheng Township in the north, yuebi Township and Hongshan Town in the East. Gutao town government is located in Xicheng village, with a total population of 65423 (2017), a land area of 27.48 square kilometers, and a total rural economic income of 1435.31 million yuan in 2007 The per capita net income of farmers is 4930 yuan.
