Niucheng Township

Niucheng township is located in the central part of Zhecheng County in the east of Henan Province, with a total area of 55.67 square kilometers (2017), a total population of 38193, and a cultivated land area of 61500 mu. It has a flat terrain, mild climate, abundant rainfall and four distinct seasons. The ancient Yellow River and Yong'an river run through the north and south, Xiaosha River and Fangsong Valley run through the west, and the network of large and small rivers and canals is all over the country.

On June 20, 2020, it was named the first batch of "beautiful towns" in Henan Province.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1984, it was changed from commune to Niucheng. In 1997, with an area of 58 square kilometers and a population of 41000, it has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, including Niucheng, Zhenglou, Shuangmiao Yangzhuang, Houguo cungang, herbal medicine farm, wanglouzhai, Liqiao, Zhangtang, lidanyitang, Muzhuang, chentianping, Lizhai, danqiao, Dawangzhuang, xiwanglou, tianyubai, Hetang, Yuanzhuang, lianglaojia, wangdaliu, guduiji and caomaowang.

Niucheng township is located in the huangzhunhai plain, the central part of Zhecheng County in the east of Henan Province. Niucheng Township, where the township government is located, is 7.5 kilometers away from the county seat, with superior geographical location.

The township is located in the huangzhunheai plain, the soil is mostly mixed soil. Yong'an Valley obliquely passes through the middle, the abandoned Yellow River flows through the west, and Xiaosha River and Fangsong Valley run through the East. In agriculture, it is one of the important producing areas of grain, cotton, peanut, traditional Chinese medicine and three cherry pepper in Zhecheng County, rich in apples and pears. We have a 500 mu red planting base of pear orchard and peach orchard. Huikang dairy farm is the milk source base of Yili company. There is a wangniuxin breeding cooperative in Shizhuang village. Industry has electronic processing enterprises, clothing processing plants, arts and crafts processing. Electronic processing enterprises have danqiao village Guangxun lamp factory, with 30 million lamps every year.
