Hongqi Street

Hongqi Street, belonging to Shuangliao City, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the west of Shuangliao City, bordering Liutiao Township in the East, Wangben town in the south, Liaodong street in the West and Wohu town in the north, with a total area of 178 square kilometers. By the end of 2011, the total population of Hongqi sub district was 11199.

In 1949, it belonged to the third, fourth and ninth districts of Shuangliao county. In 1956, it was divided into two townships. In March 1961, the red flag commune was established. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1992, the township was transformed into a town. In March 2005, it was changed to Hongqi Street. As of June 2020, Hongqi Street has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

In 2011, the total industrial output value of Hongqi Street was 160 million yuan, an increase of 5.6% over the previous year. There were 9 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size with 865 employees, realizing an industrial added value of 60 million yuan, an increase of 6% over the previous year.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the pasture of King Darhan of wendur Prefecture of Mongolian nationality.

During the Republic of China, it belonged to Shuangshan and Liaoyuan counties.

In 1949, it belonged to the third, fourth and ninth districts of Shuangliao county.

In 1956, it was divided into two townships.

In 1958, it was transferred to Wangben commune.
