Haobei town is located in the south of Yushe County, Shanxi Province. It is located in Haobei village, 16 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with Jiaotang Township and Lanyu Township in the East, Wuxiang County in the south, and Chengguan town in the north, with a total area of 137.13 square kilometers. The town is high in the northeast and low in the southwest. The highest peak, LAOYESHAN, is 1052 meters above sea level. Dongfangshan village, 961 meters above sea level, is the lowest place in the county.

Haobei town is located in the south of Yushe County, Shanxi Province. It is located in Haobei village, 16 kilometers away from the county. It is the location of Huaneng Yushe power plant, connecting lecture hall Township and Lanyu Township in the East, Wuxiang County in the south, and Jicheng town in the north. It covers a total area of 137.13 square kilometers, governs 28 administrative villages, 4 natural villages, 10855 permanent residents (2017), and 22192 mu of cultivated land.

The town is dominated by agriculture, and it produces more corn, millet, wheat, beans and rice, which is the main grain producing area of the county. Ren wuseng and Ren Aisheng, two brothers from renjianao village of the town, joined the Communist Party of China during the agrarian revolution and were the founders of the CPC Organization in the county. The revolutionary site Baizhuang memorial site is a provincial protected cultural relic in Shanxi Province.
