Gulou Street
Gulou Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Gaizhou City, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Gaizhou city. It is adjacent to Xinhua Village and Fanrong village of Dongcheng Street in the East, Taiyangsheng street across Daqinghe River in the south, Heida road in the West and Xicheng street in the west, xiaohonghuayu village of Xicheng street and Luxi village of Dongcheng Street in the north, with a total area of 2.68 square kilometers.
In the 12th year of emperor Gaodi of the Western Han Dynasty (195 BC), Pingguo County was set up (under Liaodong county); in July 1993, Gulou office was established. At the end of 2011, the total population of Gulou Street was 56128. As of June 2020, Gulou Street has jurisdiction over 10 communities and 1 administrative village.
At the end of 2011, Gulou Street had 3356 commercial outlets and 9240 employees. In 2011, the total sales of social goods reached 1.25 billion yuan.
History of construction
In the 12th year of emperor Gaodi (195 BC), Pingguo County (under Liaodong county) was established.
In the first year of Tianci (404), Gaogouli occupied eastern Liaoning, Pingguo was changed to Jian'an, and Jianan mountain city (now gaolicheng village, Qingshiling town) was built.
In the 10th year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (385), Pingguo was still the residence, and Pingzhou was also moved here.
In the first year of Tang Zongzhang (668), it was the capital of Anzhou.
In 938, it was renamed Chenzhou.
In the sixth year of jinmingchang (1195), Chenzhou was renamed Gaizhou.

The first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (1909) was Chengxiang town.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), GAIPING County Office was set up. The township system was abolished and the police management was implemented. The territory belonged to the first police district.
From 1931 to 1945, it was GAIPING street in GAIPING county.
In October 1945, the Liaodong people's self defense army recovered GAIPING county and set up GAIPING town (in Fuhai Street).
In October 1946, the Kuomintang troops occupied GAIPING county and set up GAIPING town.
In June 1947, the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army liberated GAIPING and set up GAIPING town (in Beigong Street).
In October 1949, GAIPING town was set up (in Beigong Street).
In March 1956, it was carried out to merge districts into townships.
In March 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.
In October 1958, it was the management area of GAIPING town in Chengguan commune.
In January 1965, GAIPING county was renamed Gaixian; in March of the same year, GAIPING town was renamed Gaizhou town.
In 1979, the division was adjusted, and Shengli Street, Dongshi street, Beiguan Street, Qianjin Street and Xiguan Street were added.
In November 1992, Gaixian county was replaced by a city. Gaizhou town was divided into two offices, Gulou and Xicheng.
In July 1993, the Gulou office was established.
In January 2001, Xingchen community was designated from Xiguan, Minsheng village of Chengguan town was designated as Gulou, and the neighborhood committee was changed into community committee.

Chongjiao temple is located in the south of Hongqi Street, Yonghe community, Gulou sub district office of Gaizhou City, and in the courtyard of Gaizhou cultural center. Chongjiao temple was built in the 16th year of Hongwu (1383). In 2014, the people's Government of Liaoning Province announced chongjiao temple as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
Located in Qianjin community of Gulou sub district office, Gaizhou bell and Drum Tower is the center of Gaizhou city and one of the famous historic sites in the ancient city of Gaizhou. The bell and Drum Tower is built on the high brick wall of the coupons gate style. The plane is rectangular. It is 36 meters long, 14 meters wide and 7 meters high. It is composed of a building and an upper hall. In 1963, it was declared as a county-level cultural relic protection unit, in 1984, it was declared as a municipal cultural relic protection unit by Yingkou Municipal People's government, and in 1988, it was declared as a provincial cultural relic protection unit by Liaoning Provincial People's government.
Sanjiang guild hall is located in Qianjin community of Gulou sub district office in Gaizhou city. It is located in the courtyard of Gulou office in the east of Zhonggulou. Together with Fujian guild hall, Shanxi guild hall and Shandong guild hall, Sanjiang guild hall is called the four major Guildhall in Gaizhou city. Because it has Tianhou Palace, it is also called Haishen temple. Sanjiang guild hall is a meeting hall for business groups composed of businessmen from Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. In 2004, the people's Government of Gaizhou city announced Sanjiang guild hall as a city (county) level cultural relic protection unit; in 2012, the people's Government of Yingkou City announced it as a city level cultural relic protection unit; in 2014, the people's Government of Liaoning Province announced it as a provincial level cultural relic protection unit.
Fujian guild hall is located at no.11-1, Shengli Road North, Minhe community, Gulou sub district office, Gaizhou City, adjacent to Puji temple in the West.
