Chengbei Street

Chengbei sub district office of Xingbin District of Laibin city was established on September 1, 2005 by three sub district offices in Laibin town of Xingbin district. Located in Chengbei New District of Laibin City, it is the political, economic, technological, cultural and information exchange center of Laibin city. It is adjacent to Chengxiang town in the East, connected to Chengdong street in the south, Laibin overseas Chinese investment zone in the West and Fenghuang town in the north, with a total area of about 27 square kilometers. It has 12 communities under its jurisdiction, with a total population of 37867 (in 2010) and an agricultural population of 13000. There are 2 general Party branches and 24 party branches, including 11 "two new" party branches and 280 party members. In 2012, the per capita net income of farmers reached 6260 yuan.

Evolution of organizational system

In the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xiangli; in the second year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Chengxiang District; in the 22nd year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Zhongshan Township. In December 1949, it was liberated and belonged to four districts; in 1955, it belonged to Guxi district; in 1958, it belonged to Laibin town. On September 1, 2005, Laibin town withdrew and set up three sub district offices. Chengbei sub district office was established.

In September 2005, Chengbei Street governed one community and one village: Gusan community and Pingxi village; in August 2014, it was adjusted to 12 communities: Gusan, Weilin, Zhenghe, Xianghe, Yuda, Yingbin, Cuiping, Fuxin, Binjiang, Modong, Pingxi and shalai.
