Toste Township, belonging to Jimunai County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Jimunai county. It is connected with kerjiao Township in the East and Southeast, Tacheng district and bukeser Mongolia Autonomous County in the South and southwest, bestiereke Township in the West and northwest, and qaleshihai Township in the North and northeast. In 2018, the area of tost township was 1127.24 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 4530.
In 1951, toste Township belonged to three districts; in November 1958, happiness commune was established; in 1978, it was renamed toste commune; in October 1984, toste township was established. In June 2020, toster country governs eight administrative villages.
