Xuemianxiang

Xuemian township is located in the southwest of Shanyin County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, outside Yanmen pass and in the south of Datong Basin. The resident population was 8189 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages, including Xuemian, nanluozhuang, xisiyuan, Luling, xinxingpu, Xiaocun, douzhuang, Baifang, Shaling, pangjiabao, hequbao, laoyangzhai, xilizhuang, heigeta, shuangzhai, shuangzhaipu, Caozhuang, Daying and laoyangzhaipu. The township government is located in Xueyao village, 15 kilometers away from the county.

Historical evolution

In 1958, it set up xue'an commune and heigeta commune, and in 1984, it changed to township. In 1996, xuediao Township covers an area of 100 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages including xuediao, pangjiabao, Baifang, hequbao, Luling, Shaling, Luozhuang, xinxingpu, xisiyuan, Xiaocun and douzhuang. The township government is stationed in xuediao; heigeta Township covers an area of 48 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It has jurisdiction over heigeta, xilizhuang, qianhuangtai, Daying, laoyangzhai, shuangzhaipu and laozhaipu Yangzhaipu, Caozhuang, shuangzhai, houhuangtai 10 administrative villages, township government in heigeta. In 2001, heigeta township was abolished and merged into Xuemian township.
