ZhangCai Village

Zhangcaizhuang township is located in the southwest of Shuocheng District, 7.5km away from the urban area, covering an area of 186.79km2, with 71970 mu of arable land and 5513 permanent residents (2017). There are 23 natural villages and 20 administrative villages. The township government is located in zhangcaizhuang village.

Since 2002, the national "Beijing Tianjin sandstorm source project - returning farmland to forest and Grassland" project has been implemented. In the past three years, 23800 mu of cropland has been converted to forest and grassland, and 15000 Mu has been planted in barren mountains, involving 12 villages. More than 4500 large livestock have been stocked in the township, including more than 2700 cattle, more than 1800 donkeys, mules and horses, more than 1740 engaged in agricultural labor, more than 2760 able to produce milk, more than 1200 pigs and more than 35740 sheep. The whole township has gradually changed from traditional agriculture to ecological benefits.
