Yeyike Township

Yeyike Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Minfeng County, adjacent to salwuzeke Township in the East, Karakoram mountain in the south, Yutian County in the west, Niya Town, Niya Township and ruokeya Township in the north. The administrative area is 23955.91 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, 3993 registered residence in Ye Yi Ke township. As of October 2019, ye Yike has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

Yeyike township has a cultivated land area of 14600 mu, 3.7 mu per capita. The main food crops in yeyike township are wheat and corn. In 2011, it produced 2421.2 tons of grain, 621.1 kg per capita.

History of construction

In 1947, it was established as a breeding village.

In 1950, the third district was set up with jurisdiction over two townships (talkeleke village and yeyike village were the first townships, while youlegongbulake, kagesayi and dapotouvi were the second townships).

Ye Yike commune was established in 1958.

In 1984, yeyike township was established.

Yeyike township is located in the south of Minfeng County, adjacent to salwuzeke Township in the East, Karakorum mountain in the south, Yutian County in the West and Niya Town, Niya Township and ruokeya Township in the north. The administrative area is 23955.91 square kilometers.

Yeyike township is located in the southern mountainous area of Minfeng County. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. Qihan river originates from the north slope of Kunlun Mountain, takes snowmelt water as its source, turns northeast after reaching aytag, flows to salwuzeke Township through qihanlan River, and disappears in the Populus euphratica shrub forest in the southwest of Yuhu lake. Its annual runoff is 73.8 million cubic meters, with strong seasonality. More than 80% of the flow is concentrated in May to August, and other months are cut off in salwuzeke township.
