YILIQI township is located in the northeast of Hotan City, on the West Bank of Yulongkashi river. National Highway 315 passes through the township, and the township government is about 3 kilometers away from the urban area. It has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, 4 communities and 76 villager groups. By the end of 2014, there were 21 party branches, 665 Communist Party members and 143 village cadres in the township. It covers a total area of 41.5 square kilometers, including 18000 mu of cultivated land. The total population of the area is 19681, 61404, of which 36074 are registered residence in the rural area, and 25330 are migrant population.
