Haixing Development Zone

Haixing development zone was established in December 2013, formerly known as the new district and industrial logistics park of Haiyuan county. It was founded in April 2008, with a total land area of 253.6 square kilometers, including 30.6 square kilometers of urban planning area and 16 square kilometers of built-up area. It has a total population of 44000 and is in charge of Sanhe Town of Haiyuan county.

Historical evolution

Sanhe Town, where the development zone is located, is named after Qingshui River, amaranth River and Zhonghe river. Formerly known as Heicheng, it was an important post station on the ancient Silk Road. in the Song Dynasty, Tongxia Village (also known as wuyanqian gorge) was set up, and in the Ming Dynasty, heishuiyuan was set up, which was called heishuikou city for short. the Republic of China has set up black towns. After liberation, Heicheng district and Heicheng commune were set up. In 1983, it was restored to black urban and rural areas. In 1994, the township was removed and the black town was built. In February 2008, Yuanzhou District of Guyuan city was under the jurisdiction of Haiyuan County of Zhongwei city. In March, the construction of five administrative villages in Sanhe Town began in accordance with the principles of overall planning, overall design and overall construction. in December 2013, the Party committee and government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region approved the establishment of Haixing development zone. in January 2015, Ningxia's spatial development strategic planning revealed its secrets and implemented the spatial strategy of "one core, five poles and group development". Taking Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City as the core and Xiji County, Pengyang County, Longde County and Jingyuan County as the four development poles, it integrated Sanying town and Haixing development zone to form a new development group and form the fifth development pole.

In 2016, the total industrial output value reached 1.717 billion yuan, including 1.68 billion yuan of industrial output value above designated scale, 535 million yuan of industrial added value, 76.18 million yuan of tax revenue, 220 million yuan of business transactions, 522 million yuan of fixed asset investment, and 273 million yuan of investment promotion.

Transportation

It is one of the poverty alleviation and Development Experimental Zone in the southern mountainous area of Ningxia, nine major logistics parks in Ningxia and six key charity industrial parks in Ningxia. In the north-south direction, there are Baoji Zhongwei electrified railway, Fuzhou Yinchuan Expressway and 101 provincial road. In the east-west direction, the s305 line (from Haixing Development Zone to Haiyuan county) and its extension section (extending westward to Baiyin City, Gansu Province, and eastward to Qingyang City, Gansu Province) will connect Fuyin Expressway and Beijing Tibet expressway. The railway construction project from Huan county to Pingchuan District of Gansu Province and the chujiawan railway station project are being submitted for approval.
