Daka Township, belonging to Bama County, Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of Bama County, bordering Dazhang Township, Seda County, Sichuan Province in the southwest and dari County, Guoluo Prefecture in the northwest, 130 km away from the county. The maximum distance between East and West is 30 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 18 km, with a total area of 990.43 square kilometers.
In 1962, it was named Dhaka Township when it was founded; in 1981, it was changed into Dhaka commune; in 1984, it was renamed Dhaka Township again. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Dhaka was 3010. In 2019, rural Dhaka governs four administrative villages, and the people's government is located in laansendor.
