Ziketan Town, subordinate to Xinghai County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the middle and upper reaches of Daheba River Basin, in the northwest of Xinghai County, adjacent to Heka town and Tangnaihai Township in the East, Wenquan Township in the south, Dulan County in Haixi Prefecture and Maduo County in Guoluo Prefecture in the west, and qieji Township in Gonghe County in the north. In 2018, the area of sub town was 3632.29 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 19758.

Historical evolution
In 1951, it was established as the second administrative region.
In 1958, it was changed into Daheba township. In the same year, Daheba commune was built together with Najia and Xijia townships.
In 1970, sangdang commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed to township.
In 2000, it was changed into a town.
