Heimahe town

Heimahe Town, belonging to Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the northwest of Gonghe County and on the South Bank of Qinghai Lake. Tanggemu town in the southeast and East, qieji Township in the South and shinaihai Township in the north. The area is 1156.79 square kilometers. In 2018, 5057 people registered residence.

During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850), Xiu, the capital of eight ethnic groups around the lake, moved here. Governing for the top 100 households. In 1929, Duxiu district was established. After the founding of new China, jushike township was established. In 1956, it was renamed duxiusixiang. At the beginning of 1958, Duxiu district was changed into Dala District, Dala River Township. In 1961, it was changed to Heima River commune. In 1984, the township was rebuilt. As of October 2019, the town has one community and four administrative villages.

Heimahe town is located in the northwest of Gonghe County, on the South Bank of Qinghai Lake. Tanggemu town in the southeast and East, qieji Township in the South and shinaihai Township in the north. The area is 1156.79 square kilometers.

Heimahe town is traversed by the south mountain of Qinghai Province. It is about 54 kilometers long from east to west and 30 kilometers wide from north to south. The altitude is 3210-3400 meters, and the highest altitude is 4660 meters. It has alpine meadow and grassland landform, and is the main pasture in Gonghe County.
