Zequ town

Ze Qu Town, belonging to Zeku County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is located in the middle and southern part of the county. It is located on the border between the East and West, and Henan Autonomous County in the south, adjacent to the town of Japan and the north of the county. It has 989.96 square kilometers in 2018 and 17652 people in the registered residence.

In 1955, Naihai district was established. In 1958, it was changed into the commune of xiade and Japan. In 1962, xiaderi township was established. In 1969, the commune was restored. In 1984, xiaderi township was established. On March 19, 2001, xiaderi township of Zeku County was abolished and changed into zequ town. In August 2006, chakori township was abolished and merged into zequ town. As of October 2019, zequ town has jurisdiction over 6 communities and 15 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 68 industrial enterprises in zequ Town, including 2 large-scale enterprises and 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Zequ town is located in the central and southern part of the county, bordering Xibusha Township in the East, Henan Mongolian Autonomous County in the south, heli town in the West and Guinan County in Hainan Province in the north, covering an area of 989.96 square kilometers.

Zequ town is located in the north foot of the west inclined mountain of Qinling Mountains, the general terrain is inclined from east to west; according to the geomorphological characteristics, it can be divided into: alpine zone, subalpine zone, beach, valley terrace, low mountain and hilly zone, with open beach and complex landform; the average altitude is 3650 meters, the highest altitude is 4971 meters, the lowest altitude is 2890 meters, and the relative elevation difference is 2171 meters.

Zequ town has a continental plateau climate, with the characteristics of long sunshine, strong solar radiation, low heat, large daily temperature difference, long cold winter, short cool summer, more frost, snow and wind disasters in winter and spring; the average annual temperature is - 1.3 ℃ ~ 1.6 ℃, the radiation is 139.8 joules / square centimeter, the annual sunshine time is 2530 ~ 3100 hours, and the average annual precipitation is 564.9 mm.

Many tributaries of the source of zequ River in zequ town originate from the town, and zequ river runs through the town from west to East.

In 2011, the total population of zequ town was 11400, of which 5794 were animal husbandry, accounting for 50.7% of the total population; 5642 were urban residents, accounting for 49.3% of the total population; among the total population, 11000 were mainly Tibetan, accounting for 96.1%; 398 were Han, accounting for 3.5%, and 0.4% were other nationalities.

Zequ town has 780000 mu of agricultural grassland and 710000 mu of usable grassland. Animal husbandry is mainly for raising cattle, sheep and horses. In 2011, there were 54200 livestock in stock at the end of the year, including 15300 cattle, 38600 sheep and 366 horses. In 2011, it produced 780 tons of meat, including 470 tons of beef, 310 tons of mutton, 130 tons of fresh milk and 38 tons of wool.
