Shuangpeng Xixiang
Xixiang, a registered residence in Tongren City, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, is located in the northeast of Tongren City, south of Guzhe Township, West and Qinghai, and northeast of Xunhua. It has a total area of 252.99 square kilometers in 2018 and a population of 3627.
From 1949 to 1951, it was under the jurisdiction of the Second District of Tongren (Regong) county. In October 1956, Shuangpengxi Township and shuangpenglaka Township were established respectively. In 1958, it was designated as red flag commune. In 1961, shuangpenglaka and Shuangpengxi were divided into two communes. In 1967, Shuangpengxi and shuangpenglaka merged into a commune. In 1984, it was changed to shuangpeng Xixiang. As of October 2019, Shuangpengxi township has jurisdiction over Shuangpengxi village, huanzhu village, Xiezhi village and ningta village.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen in Shuangpengxi township was 3622 yuan.
Historical evolution
From 1949 to 1951, it was under the jurisdiction of the Second District of Tongren (Regong) county.

By the end of 2011, Shuangpengxi Township had four administrative villages, including Shuangpengxi, ningta, huanzhu and Xiezhi, and eight natural villages.
As of October 2019, Shuangpengxi township has jurisdiction over Shuangpengxi village, huanzhu village, Xiezhi village and ningta village. The people's government is stationed in Shuangpengxi village.

Shuangpeng Xixiang, located in the northeast of Tongren City, is adjacent to guashize Township in the south, Baoan town in the West and Gangcha Township in Xunhua County in the northeast, covering an area of 252.99 square kilometers.

Shuangpeng Xixiang is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the West. Qiaqiao mountain is the highest peak in the territory, with an altitude of 3945 meters.

Shuangpengxixiang has a continental plateau climate. It is cold in winter and spring, cool in summer, concentrated rainfall and sudden drop in temperature in autumn.

In 2011, Shuangpengxi Township had 10000 mu of agricultural cultivated land, 31800 mu of forest land, and the main crops were spring wheat, potato, oil and green trees. In 2011, the planting area of crops was 8664.5 mu, including 3679 mu of wheat, 1000 mu of potato, 1848.5 mu of oil and 2137 mu of Qingke; animal husbandry mainly raised cattle, sheep, horses, mules and donkeys.
By the end of 2011, Shuangpengxi Township Forest Farm had 22800 mu of open woodland and 54000 mu of shrubbery; the main tree species in the Township Forest Farm was spruce, with a timber accumulation of 35100 cubic meters.

In Shuangpengxi Township, there are three Gelug temples, namely yamazaxiqi temple, XiuGuan temple and louran temple, and the famous former residence of Gendun Qunpei. There are natural caves in the back mountain of XiuGuan temple, surrounded by green pines and beautiful scenery, which once became the residence of ascetic monks. The mountain in the north of Shuangpengxi village is Danxia landform and geology, while the mountain in the south is covered by green spruce, which is red and green with pleasant scenery.
