Yashiga Town, belonging to Hualong Hui Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of Hualong Hui Autonomous County, bordering qunke town in the East, the Yellow River in the south, Kangyang town of Jianzha County across the river, Chafu Township in the West and Zaba town in the north, with a total area of 87.24 square kilometers.

In 1981, yashiga commune was set up from qunko commune. On December 26, 2001, yashiga township was changed into yashiga town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town was 20883. In 2019, yashiga town governs one community, 21 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in underground villages.

In 1981, yashiga commune was established from qunko commune.

In 1984, yashiga township was established.
