Xiluo Street

Xiluo street is the first street under the jurisdiction of Jinsha County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. In June 2013, the people's Government of Guizhou Province approved to abolish the system of Xiluo Township in Jinsha County and establish Xiluo street.

Xiluo street is located in the northwest of the county, 5 kilometers away from the county, with a total area of 112.37 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 5 communities and 6 administrative villages, 61 resident groups and 69 villager groups, 10288 households and 36882 population. It is inhabited by Han, Miao, Yi, Gelao, Buyi and other nationalities. The altitude is between 900 meters and 1300 meters. The climate is mild. There is no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. Yuxiu mountains and rivers, pleasant climate, rich resources. The forest coverage rate reaches 50%. The main mineral deposits are coal, copper, silicon, etc., with coal reserves of about 800 million tons. The main tourism resources include "Taijin modern ecological sightseeing agricultural science and technology demonstration park, minxinyuan science and technology demonstration park, dayapo ethnic minority style park, Enron hot spring resort center" and other modern agricultural sightseeing scenic spots, baiyun temple, the site of the first plenary session of the general Party branch of dongxinchang, as well as Yi People's "Torch Festival" and Miao people's "mountain stepping Festival" and other ethnic customs.

Name and origin

It is named after the Xiluo river flowing through the territory.

Evolution of administrative districts

After October 1949, Pingba district was set up, with seven townships of Xiluo, Pingluo, nongli, Bajiao, Shancha, HUSHUI and Baiguo.

In September 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Nongli Township and Baiguo Township were merged into Xiluo township.

In 2013, the people's Government of Guizhou Province issued the reply of the provincial people's Government on Approving the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Jinsha County (QFH [2013] No. 140), which agreed to cancel the establishment of Xiluo Township in Jinsha County and set up Xiluo street. Nine villages in the former Xiluo Township, Shancao village and Hongshan village in the former Chengguan town are the administrative areas of Xiluo sub district, and the sub district office is located in Qunli village.
