Shenzhong Township
Shenzhong Township, belonging to Huangyuan County, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located in the north of Huangyuan County, connecting suburban township in the East, tawan and Dahua Township in the south, Bayan Township in the west, and Huangzhong and Haiyan counties in the north. The area is 125.46 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 15889 registered residence population.
In May 1956, Huangyuan County withdrew its districts and merged with townships. Five district offices were abolished, and 18 townships were merged into 12 townships. Lida township was merged into Shenzhong Township, and Dalu township was merged into Shenzhong Township in September of the same year. In July 1958, Shenzhong township was changed into red flag commune. In 1959, it was renamed China commune. At the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution", Shenzhong commune was established. On July 23, 1984, the commune was changed into a township and Shenzhong township was reestablished. As of October 2019, Shenzhong township has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages.
In 2018, Shenzhong Township had 35 industrial enterprises and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Shenzhong township is located at the junction of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau. The terrain is high on both sides of the northwest and low in the middle. The general trend of geomorphology inclines from north to South and from west to north. The altitude is 2638-3983m.

Shenzhong township has a continental plateau climate. It is characterized by long winter and cool summer, rapid warming in spring and autumn, large daily temperature range and small annual temperature range, concentrated rainfall, dry climate in winter and spring, strong wind in winter and spring and short frost free period. hydrology
All rivers in Shenzhong Township flow into the south of Shenzhong and into Huangshui River. Due to the shallow mountains and rivers, the river bed is deeply cut, and most of the groundwater generated by precipitation infiltrating into the ground flows into the river channel. Therefore, the river channel runoff has included the underground runoff.

At the end of 2011, the total population of Shenzhong township was 15258. There are 41 floating population. In the total population, the Han nationality is the majority, and there are Tibetan, Mongolian, Turkish and other ethnic minorities.

In 2011, Shenzhong Township had 44000 mu of cultivated land, 2.9 mu per capita, of which 29000 were irrigated.
