Nantan Street
Nantan street, belonging to Chengzhong District of Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located at the foot of nanfenghuang mountain and the Bank of Nanchuan river. It borders the east of the city with Jianxin Lane in the East, adjacent to the east of Nanchuan road with hongshuiqiao in the south, facing the west of the city with Nanchuan River in the west, and adjacent to Renmin Street and Cangmen street with Jiefangqu in the north. In 2011, the area is 6.2 square kilometers, with a total population of 70000.
On September 5, 1949, Xining was liberated. Today, Nantan area is bounded by Nanbei street. The west of Jianxin lane is under the jurisdiction of the first district, and the east of Nanchuan river is under the jurisdiction of the second district. In 1968, today's Nantan area is under the jurisdiction of Renmin Street, Chengzhong District, Xining city. In September 1977, Nantan sub district office was established. As of October 2019, Nantan street has six communities under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, Nantan Street attracted 97 million yuan of investment, down 20.5% over the previous year; the investment in fixed assets was 196 million yuan, up 36.7% over the previous year; in 2011, the revenue from finance and taxation was 4.97 million yuan, up 21.2% over the previous year.
Historical evolution

On March 6, 1954, the original first district was changed into Chengdong district and the second district into Chengxi district. Today, Nantan district is under the jurisdiction of Chengdong district and Chengxi district respectively.
In August 1956, the original system was abolished and three new county-level districts, namely, the East, the middle and the west of the city, were built.
In 1968, today's Nantan area is under the jurisdiction of Renmin Street, Chengzhong District, Xining city.
In September 1977, Nantan sub district office was established.
