Wangzang town

Wangzang Town, belonging to Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the middle of Diebu County, adjacent to Luoda Township in the East, axia Township and Duoer Township in the south, Niao Township in the west, and Sangba Township in the north. The area is 495.23 square kilometers. In 2018, 6191 people registered residence.

In 1956, Zhuoni county set up xiadiequ in wangzang. In 1957, shaluwa township was set up. In November 1958, the district was changed into a community. In 1959, it was under the jurisdiction of longdie county. In 1960, the xiadie commune was divided into four parts and the Maya commune was established. In 1962, after Diebu established the county, wangzang township was set up. In December 2005, Huayuan township was abolished and merged into wangzang township. In 2017, the township was replaced by township. In June 2020, wangzang town governs nine administrative villages.
