Shenzang town

Shenzang Town, subordinate to Zhuoni County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Zhuoni County, bordering Lintan County in the southeast, Changchuan Township in the south, dongchengjiao of Lintan County in the southwest, Zhuoluo Hui Township in the west, azitan Township in the west, qiagai Township and wanmao Township in the north. The area is 163.66 square kilometers. In 2018, 8443 people registered residence.

After 1949, two townships in Taobei district were built. In 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into shenzang township. In 1959, linzhuo County merged into Chengguan commune of Lintan county. In 1962, linzhuo county was separated and restored to shenzang township. In 1968, shenzang commune was established. In 1982, it was changed into shenzang township. In 2018, the township will be changed into a town. In June 2020, shenzang town governs seven administrative villages.

In 2018, shenzang town had one industrial enterprise and seven comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

After 1949, two townships in Taobei district were built.

In 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into shenzang township.

In 1959, linzhuo County merged into Chengguan commune of Lintan county.

In 1962, linzhuo county was separated and restored to shenzang township.

In 1968, shenzang commune was established.

In 1982, it was changed into shenzang township.

In 2018, the township will be changed into a town.

At the end of 2011, shenzang town had 7 villagers' committees, including shenzang, Guoda, LENGKOU, xiezangdanzang, mudipo and Xiaogou, and 45 villagers' groups.

In June 2020, shenzang town governs seven administrative villages: shenzang village, Guoda village, LENGKOU village, xiezang village, danzang village, mudipo village and Xiaogou village. The town people's government is stationed in shenzang village.

Shenzang town is located in the northwest of Zhuoni County, bordering Lintan County in the southeast, Changchuan Township in the south, Dongcheng corner of Lintan County in the southwest, Zhuoluo Hui Township in the west, azitan Township in the west, qiagai Township and wanmao Township in the north. The area is 163.66 square kilometers.

topographic features

Shenzang town is a long and narrow mountainous area with east-west trend, across five gullies: Xizang, Changchuan, Yangyong, Liushun and Xincheng. The terrain is Hirakawa. The main mountains are Xizang mountain, the highest point of which is guodatu mountain, with an altitude of 3820 meters; the lowest point is shenzang dagaping, with an altitude of 3210 meters.

The rainfall is concentrated from April to August every year, with the most in July.

Animal husbandry mainly raises pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry, with 6010 pigs and 1620 at the end of the year; 8800 sheep and 7815 at the end of the year; 11300 cattle and 9560 at the end of the year; 1560 poultry and 1560 listed poultry, producing 1439 tons of meat, including 726 tons of pork, 134 tons of beef and 1539 tons of mutton. The per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen is 2850 yuan .
