Azitan town

Azitan Town, subordinate to Zhuoni County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the north central part of Zhuoni county. It is adjacent to zhuolo Hui Township and shenzang Township in Lintan County in the East, guzhan Hui Township and shubu Township in Lintan County in the south, wanmao Township in the West and qiagai Township in the north. The area is 107.22 square kilometers. In 2018, 7336 people registered residence.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Zhuoni set up the governing Bureau and Taobei township. In 1949, Taobei district was established. At the end of 1958, it merged with Lintan and was called Taobei commune. In 1965, nazika township was removed and merged into azitan township. In June 2020, azitan town governs seven administrative villages.

In 2018, azitan town had one industrial enterprise and eight comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
