Luoyu town

Luoyu Town, subordinate to Xihe County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Xihe County, adjacent to Shili town in the East, Shixia town and xigaoshan Township in the southeast, Daqiao town in the south, Haolin Township in the west, Heba town in the north, 25 kilometers away from Xihe County, with a total area of 163.2 square kilometers.

In the pre Qin period, Luoyu town was the capital of Wudu; in July 2004, Luoyu Township, 12 villages of Xiji Township and 5 villages of Hekou Township were merged into Luoyu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Luoyu town was 32393. As of June 2020, Luoyu town has 37 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Luoyu town is located in Luoyu village.

History of construction

Luoyu town is named after the town government's residence in Luoyu village.

In the pre Qin period, Luoyu town was the capital of Wudu.

During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty, Wudu County was set up in Luoyu town.

During the Wei, Jin and southern and Northern Dynasties, the Yang family of the baimadi nationality established the state of Qiu Chi.

In December 1961, Luoyu commune was established.

In December 1983, Luoyu township was established.

In July 2004, 12 villages of Luoyu Township, Xiji Township and 5 villages of Hekou Township were merged into Luoyu town.
