Xiaochuan Town, subordinate to Chengxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Chengxian County, adjacent to bosha town in the East, HuangChen town in the south, Suochi Township and Suyuan Township in the west, Shaba town and Zhifang town in the north, with a total area of 69.23 square kilometers.

In the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920), the Western District Office was located in Xiaochuan town; in 1990, Xiaochuan commune was changed into Xiaochuan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in town was 20067. As of June 2020, Xiaochuan town has one community and 19 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises in Xiaochuan Town, including 1 above scale and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1920, Cheng county was divided into five districts, and the Western District Office was located in Xiaochuan.

In 1940, Xiaochuan town was established.

In December 1949, Xiaochuan town was changed into Xiaochuan district.

In 1961, Xiaochuan district was transformed into Xiaochuan commune.

In 1990, Xiaochuan commune was changed into Xiaochuan town.

Xiaochuan town is high in all directions and low in the middle. The terrain is mainly mountainous, with overlapping mountains and deep gully cutting. The highest peak of Tianshou mountain is located in Guanshan village, with an altitude of 2042 meters. The lowest point of Mogou Valley is located in Shanshan village, with an altitude of 920 meters.
