Haizitan town
Haizitan Town, belonging to Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the south edge of Tengger Desert and the hinterland of Gulang irrigation area of Jingdian phase II project. It is a new type of well, Yellow River mixed tank farm and Agricultural Comprehensive Development Zone in Gulang county. It is located 105 dry meters northeast of Gulang County, and belongs to the downstream area of Dajing river. It is adjacent to zhitan Township in the south, Jingtai County and Inner Mongolia in the East, Dajing town in the West and Tengger Desert in the north, covering an area of 133.85 square kilometers. By 2019, haizitan town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages. In 2017, there were 27906 permanent residents in haizitan town.
In 2017, there were 70 enterprises in haizitan Town, with 1000 employees, including 58 industrial enterprises.
Historical evolution
In 1952, haizitan township was established under the jurisdiction of peijiaying district.
In 1956, peijiaying District merged into Dongshan District, and haizitan Township belonged to Dongshan District.
In 1958, haizitan township was incorporated into the iron and steel commune
In 1959, it was incorporated into the Dajing commune. In August of the same year, it was divided into peijiaying commune.
In 1982, haizitan township was set up, belonging to peijiaying district.
In April 1984, haizitan township was combined with bingcaowan township.
In September 1988, it was separated from bingpengcaowan Township, and part of the area was assigned to Zhitan township.
In July 2001, haizitan township was abolished and haizitan town was established.
In August 2004, bingcaowan township was removed and incorporated into haizitan town.

In 1984, haizitan town governed eight villages, including lijiawopu, gaojiawopu, xinxitan, Yuanzhuang, tanjiajing, mingshazui, Machangtan and tugoujing.
In 2007, haizitan town governed 20 villages including lijiawopu, gaojiawopu, Yuanxin, Haizi, Yuanzhuang, tanjiajing, minquancheng, Machangtan, tugoujing, Minxin, Jingxin, Guizi, Tanxin, hongshatan, Shangbing, XiaBing, erzuizi, Dongxin, Xinmin and Caojing.
