Adang town
A Dang Town belongs to Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northeast of Huangling County, it borders jiaokouhe town of Luochuan County in the East, Qiaoshan street in the south, Longfang town in the West and Sixian town in Fuxian County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 12.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 17.1 km, with a total area of 150.53 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Adang town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of the Arab town registered residence was 14947. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Adang town was 168 million yuan, and the total sales of social goods reached 270000 yuan.
Historical evolution
According to legend, there is an ancient village named adazhai, and later a village was wrongly named Adang village. The town is named after the village.
In 1949, it was a Dang Township and Taixian township.
In 1958, ADANG township was merged into Taixian township.
In 1961, the party commune was set up separately.
In September 1984, the township was set up.
In 1998, it was changed into a town.
In June 2011, Taixian township was abolished and merged into Adang town.

Hulu river flows from Jiegou to zuituo via Wangjiao, Songgou, Mahe, Lianghe, Nanhe, Hedi, Jingtan, xiawangcun, Shijiahe, zhaitouhe and chuanzhuang. It has a flow length of 25 kilometers, a drainage area of 37 square kilometers and an average annual flow of 5.4 cubic meters per second.
