Zhangcunyi town belongs to Fuxian County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southwest of Fuxian County, it is adjacent to Yangquan town in the East, jizixian town in the southeast, Sixian town in the south, Zhiluo town in the west, Diantou town in Huangling County in the southwest and beidaode Township in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 29 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 21 kilometers, with a total area of 282.70 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, zhangcunyi town has two communities and seven administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of Zhang Cun Yi Town was 12814. Historical evolution

It was originally named Zhangcun, because it was located by the ancient road of Gansu Province. In 1652, a post station was set up, so it was named zhangcunyi, which is still in use today.

In 1369, it was Yongshun Yili, Haode township.

In 1653, it was changed to Yongshun Sanli.

In 1870, it was renamed Jiashan Erli.

In 1928, it was established as a mutual aid zone.

In 1934, it was changed to zhangcunyi joint insurance.

In 1937, Jiashan township was established.

In 1940, zhangcunyi district was established.

In 1947, it was changed to Jingxi township.

In 1948, zhangcunyi district was reestablished.

After October 1949, it was divided into five districts of Minxian county.

In August 1958, rocket commune was established.

In 1959, it was incorporated into Luochuan County and renamed zhangcunyi commune.

In 1961, it returned to Minxian county.

In July 1984, it was changed into a town.

As of June 2020, zhangcunyi town has two communities and seven administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in zhangcunyi village.
