Yangjiagetai town belongs to Yanchuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the south of Yanchuan County, it connects tugang Township and Yanshuiguan town in the East, Jiaokou town in Yanchang County in the south, wenanyi town in the West and Majiahe town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 32.4 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 14.4 kilometers, with a total area of 193 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Qing Daoguang 11 years (1831), to the Yang surname living in Getai named. The town is named after the village.

Sangyuan county was established in Tang Dynasty.

Ming, Qing and early Republic of China belong to xin'anli.

In August 1937, it was divided into Qing Yan District and forever district.

In July 1950, it was divided into six districts and seven districts.

In March 1955, it belonged to shaodao district and yangjiagetai district respectively.

In August 1958, it belonged to three communes: Chengguan commune, Yanchuan commune and shaodaohe commune.

In September 1961, it belonged to tuojiachuan commune and shaodaohe commune.

In June 1984, Getai Township and shaodaohe township of Yangjia were established.

In 2000, the two townships merged to set up yangjiagetai town.

Mao Zedong's former residence

It is located in yangjiagetai village, 30km south of the county. The courtyard sits in the north and south, with two holes in the front line. Mao Zedong once lived in the second hole from the left. On May 4, 1936, Mao Zedong led the troops of the eastern expedition to Getai village of Yangjia, where he lived for five days. On May 5, Mao Zedong presided over a meeting of senior cadres, with Zhou Enlai, Peng Dehuai and others attending the meeting.

Tomb of Helian

Baigetusi village, 35 kilometers away from the county seat, has 7 graves and 2 graves. The tomb is a mound, 10 meters high, 17 meters east and West, 17.5 meters apart.
