Laowangji Township

Laowangji township is located in the east of Zhecheng County in the east of Henan Province, bordering Suiyang District in the East, Luyi County in the southeast, Qitai town in the south, Daluo Township in the West and Huxiang Township in the north. Township People's Government in laowangji, hence the name. The cultivated land is 49153 mu.

Laowangji Township, with flat terrain, fertile soil and mild climate, is a famous grain and tobacco production base in Shangqiu. It is rich in forestry resources and has the reputation of "Paulownia town".

Economic overview

Its main crops are wheat, corn, tobacco, pepper and so on. Rich in watermelon, peanuts, pear. Among them, tobacco production was rated as "advanced township of high-quality, high-yield and efficient development of tobacco" by the national provincial tobacco Department, and one of the six main tobacco producing townships in the province. The rural irrigation and water conservancy projects are complete, and agricultural production is basically mechanized. There are more than 40 township enterprises in liquor making, papermaking, chemical industry, flour, machinery manufacturing, and deep processing of agricultural and sideline products, covering 20 village committees in the township.
