brief introduction
The average altitude of the township is 1300 meters, which belongs to temperate semi-arid climate. The annual rainfall is about 460 mm, the frost free period is 110-120 days, and the annual average temperature is about 6? C. the township is mainly agricultural, and the main crop varieties are corn, millet, millet, potato, oil and miscellaneous grains. Through the reasonable adjustment of the internal structure of agriculture, animal husbandry based on cattle, sheep and pigs is gradually developing into a leading industry in the whole Township and becoming an important source of increasing farmers' income. In 2003, the total rural economic income of the township was 17.132 million yuan, the grain output was 28.1 million jin, and the oil production was 2 million jin. At the end of the year, there were 3752 large livestock, 9512 sheep and 2154 pigs, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1372 yuan. The overall efficiency of agriculture is not high, and the ability of planting industry to resist natural disasters is not strong. Although the proportion of animal husbandry income in the total economic income has all increased, it is basically a pure agricultural township, and it is still very prominent to solve the problem of food and clothing for farmers. the township is rich in natural resources, with large reserves of metal and non-metal minerals, which has great economic potential through rational development and utilization. The main metallic minerals are iron, and the main non-metallic minerals are zeolite, perlite and laterite. The main supply objects of metal mines are the two iron powder processing plants in China and abroad, and the non-metal mines are basically transported out of the township.
