Yixing township is located in the southernmost part of Guangling County, adjacent to jiadou Township in the East, zuotuan Township and Nancun Town in the west, Lingqiu County in the South and Huquan town in the north. It covers an area of 121.04 square kilometers and has 17 administrative villages, including 8 villages in Sichuan district and 9 villages in mountainous area. There are 11239 permanent residents in the township (2017), including 4513 labor force. The cultivated land is 27393 mu, including 16630 mu of irrigated land.

Geography

The terrain is half mountain, half Sichuan, high in South and low in North. It belongs to the combination of mountains and rivers town. (Yixing area is the proluvial sector, Shaozhuang area is the earth rock mountainous area). The soil is black light chestnut soil, and the ground altitude is between 918-1859 meters (cangerwa is the lowest, Niejiagou huangyajian is the highest, 1859.4 meters above sea level). The average annual temperature is 6.9 ℃, the frost free period is not more than 120 days, and the annual rainfall is about 380-400mm, which belongs to temperate zone Continental monsoon climate, annual average wind speed 2.9 M / s.

Agriculture

Due to the terrain characteristics, the natural formation of microclimate in different regions, Zhiyu, Nanfang area is located in the edge of the mountain yukou, rich in green onions and millet; Shaozhuang area is rich in small grains. Yixing township is the authentic origin of the famous rice "dongfangliang" millet in Shanxi Province. It is also one of the main vegetable producing areas in the county. The main crops are millet, vegetables, corn, soybeans, etc.

Travel

There are many tourist attractions in Yixing Township, which are located in the south of xiyixing village. The Holy Spring Temple, Mituo Cave (South Temple), which is known as "little suspended Temple", and the Holy Buddha Temple and Zhao Great Wall, one of the eight Guangling scenic spots in Zhiyu village, are famous. Among them, "shengfo Songtao" is a unique cave. The dense pine forest is the first choice for people to go sightseeing in summer. The rugged and undulating Yuemingshan mountain is full of praise. There are also the locations of Shaozhuang ambush, Zhangjiawan ambush and fengjiagou ambush, which were directed by Wang Zhen and Yang Chengwu to attack the Japanese aggressors.
