Sanlipu Township

Sanlipu township is located in the west of Tianzhen County, 15 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with Zhaojiagou Township in the south, guqianpu town in the East and luowenzao, beixutun and shizitun in Yanggao County in the northwest.

Geographical features

The township is 30.6 kilometers long from north to South and 10.8 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 116.73 square kilometers and 81000 mu of cultivated land, including 45900 mu of irrigated land. The township is located in the hinterland of Datong Basin, which is a typical Pingchuan hilly area with abundant water resources. Liulin River and Baideng river cross the East and West, with annual rainfall of about 415mm and frost free period of about 124 days. Highway traffic extends in all directions. In the north, 301 provincial road runs through the East and West, leading to Zhangjiakou and Datong; in the south, chentian county road runs through the East and West, leading to Yanggao and Datong; and Sanzhao county road runs through the north and south of the whole Township, leading to Yanggao and Shijiazhuang, forming a highway traffic network with provincial roads as the trunk, county and township roads as the auxiliary, and village roads as the radiation. The township governs 20 administrative villages with a permanent population of 22037 (in 2017) and 24 grassroots party branches. corn and vegetables are the main farming industries in the township; cattle, pigs and sheep are the main animal husbandry industries.
