Weiyanghu Street

Weiyang Lake Street, Weiyang District, was founded on September 30, 2013. It is named after Weiyang Lake amusement park, the earliest artificial lake in Northwest China. The street is adjacent to Xi'an Weibei Industrial Zone in the north, Chanba ecological zone in the East, Xi'an administrative center in the South and Xi'an copper highway in the west, covering an area of 24.47 square kilometers. It governs 19 administrative villages and 5 communities. There are well-known enterprises and institutions, tourist attractions, such as Weiyang Lake Tourism Development Zone, North Third Ring Daming Palace building materials market, Weiyang university town and Chanba National Wetland Park, with a population of more than 70000 (2013) Year).

Weiyanghu street is only 5km away from the new administrative center; 18km away from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport; 3km away from Xi'an north station, the largest in China and Asia. The unveiling ceremony of weiyanghu street was held in the courtyard of weiyanghu administrative committee, presided over by Wang Jun, deputy secretary of the district Party committee. Yang Guangting, Secretary of the district Party committee, Lei ronghua, director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, Wu Zhimin, deputy secretary of the district Party committee, and Ren Tailong, chairman of the District People's Political Consultative Conference, respectively unveiled the new Party Working Committee and office of weiyanghu street. Zhang fajian, member of the Standing Committee of the district Party committee and executive deputy head of the District, read out the notice of the people's Government of Weiyang District of Xi'an city on transmitting the reply of the people's Government of Xi'an city on adjusting the administrative division of caotan street in Weiyang District and the notice of the Organization Committee of Weiyang District of Xi'an city on establishing the Party Working Committee and office of weiyanghu street in Weiyang District of Xi'an city. Yang Lianhe, member of the Standing Committee of the district Party committee and director of the Organization Department, read out the appointment documents of the members of the street leading group. More than 70 people attended the meeting, including representatives from the district Party committee office, district government office and other relevant departments, representatives from caotan Street office, and representatives from villages and communities under the jurisdiction of weiyanghu Street office.

Weiyanghu sub district office now has jurisdiction over 19 villages, including wangjiapeng village, niuwangmiao village, Fengjiatan village, jiajiatan village, Chenjia village, Houcun village, wangjiabao village, Bajia village, Jingjia village, Xinfang village, Caodian village, hubeizhuang village, Xiaotan village, Sujia village, Xiajia village, Shangzhuang village, Beiqian village, Suxi village, zhengjiasi village, Changqing weiyanghu Garden community, Wenjia community and laowatan Community, dujiabao community, Lakeside Garden community, etc.
