Cuona County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China governs townships, Quna village, yangdui village and other administrative villages.

Langpo township: transliteration of Tibetan language, also written as Langbo Township and LANPU township. It is a township under the jurisdiction of Cuona County, Shannan City, Tibet. It is in the south of Cuona town (only a small street), near the East and south of cuonaqu (River)

After walking along the highway through the police station, I saw a fork in the road. Go straight to Dongzhang waterfall three kilometers away and turn left to the Rhododendron sea which is 4100 meters above sea level six kilometers away.

We left Cuona county at 8:30. Today's trip is to langpo Rhododendron sea and Dongzhang waterfall. It's still cloudy today. A light rain falls from time to time in the sky. Not long after we left the county and drove south, we met the site of road construction. The road here is built along the river valley. On one side, the river is running fast, and on the other side, the mountain. In rainy season, the debris flow will rush down at any time. Workers weave cages with barbed wire and install stones as barriers to prevent landslides from breaking the subgrade. Judging from the subgrade, asphalt pavement will be laid here in the future.

We arrived at langpo village border police station at 10:15 and stopped to check our certificates. The motorcyclist was very enthusiastic and later showed us the way forward.

After walking along the highway through the police station, we saw a fork in the road. Go straight to Dongzhang waterfall three kilometers away, and turn left to the azalea sea, which is 4100 meters above sea level six kilometers away. We chose to see the azalea first. The car winds up the mountain along the gravel road, and we are the only car in the silent forest. There are many green hanging trees on the roadside. I don't remember its scientific name, but I know that only in places with very good air quality can such hanging trees grow on the branches of coniferous forest.

Between us and the green hill opposite us, there are some white clouds that sometimes flutter and sometimes stop. They are inseparable from us, and sometimes drift to us, temporarily blocking the road and scenery.

Walking forward again, we saw that the hillsides on both sides of the road were covered with low plants with many withered flowers on them. Ha ha, this is the famous Rhododendron sea in langpo township. Just the azaleas in full bloom all over the mountains and fields, we have no chance to enjoy, can only vaguely see some are still in full bloom.

These rhododendrons are still in full bloom. They are pink with a little rain and dew on them. It's said on the Internet that the blooming period is from late March to the end of July every year, from low altitude to high altitude. There are five bright colors, and the blooming of Rhododendron has the saying of big or small year, which is just the small year. Later, I asked the local people to know that the blooming period of rhododendrons here is not as long as that on the Internet, but from the end of March to the end of April every year. When we look at the endless rhododendrons, we can only imagine the spectacular scene two or three months ago.

Following the gravel road, we found two waterfalls flowing down from the top of the mountain, like two silver lines. However, we found that we had reached the end of the road. A stream more than ten meters wide blocked us. The off-road vehicle should be able to pass. Considering that there was no road in front of us even after crossing the stream, and it had rained here, the road condition ahead was unclear. It was safe to go out. It would be troublesome for us to get stuck in the mud when we went out by bike. We think that there is no need to take risks. Let's enjoy it here.

Here is a plateau meadow with gurgling streams. Not far away, a few yaks are eating grass. On the hillside, there are still a few in the Rhododendron bush. We took pictures with them as the background.

Return to the fork in the road, continue to drive south, the front should be Dongzhang waterfall. On this remote road, I saw an iron door with "gate of China" written in ink.

We arrived at Dongzhang waterfall at 13:30, 3850 meters above sea level, 40 kilometers from the county seat.

A fast flowing river about 30 meters wide, on the other side of the river, on the hillside, I searched carefully for a long time, only to find something similar to a shack or a simple Tin House on the rocks and among the trees, an Indian soldier. Several Indian soldiers are working on a small camera, the lens is facing us, and there is a walkie talkie in hand, monitoring.
