Zhoutuzhuang town is located at the foot of Cailiang mountain in Yunzhou District of Datong City, 15 kilometers east of Datong City. It has superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It connects Datang highway in the south, Dazhang highway in the north, and Beijing Baotou railway runs across the town. The inland area under the jurisdiction is rich in water resources and sufficient power supply, and the postal and telecommunications industry is developing rapidly.

the town has 23 administrative villages with a total population of 15651, land area of 134 square kilometers and cultivated land area of 81691 mu. The main crops in the town are corn, yam, millet and broomcorn. Zhoutuzhuang town is located in the grass mountain area, with a wide area of barren hills and slopes, large temperature difference between day and night, and unique forestry and animal husbandry production conditions. It is a traditional betel nut base and mutton sheep breeding base. In recent years, Zhou Tuzhuang suppressed the development of rural enterprises. The transportation industry, oil processing industry and building materials industry have formed a large scale and the prospect is optimistic. Yunzhou brick factory, industrial silicon factory and other large-scale county-level enterprises are located in the town, and drive the rise and development of some related industries.
