Gangdui town

It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees and 27 natural villages. The town government is located in gangdui village. The population is 7025 (2017), mainly Tibetan. The economy is dominated by agriculture with animal husbandry, forestry and sidelines. The cultivated land covers an area of 789.3 hectares, mainly growing highland barley, wheat, beans and rape. The grassland covers an area of 33100 hectares, mainly raising cattle, cattle, goats and sheep. Gangdui town has more than 30 handicraft processing enterprises such as transportation, wood processing, traditional leather processing and textile processing. In 1998, a high-voltage power transmission line from Yanghu power plant to the airport was built, basically meeting the production and living power consumption of 17 villages in the town

There are roads leading to Lhasa, Gongga Airport, Langjia, Shigatse, luoza, cuomei and other places. There are 3 central schools and 9 teaching sites. The main places for religious activities are Gongga Qude temple, xiazhulin temple, Deqing Quguo temple, Ciqu Zhuda temple, senbu rilakan, etc. among them, Gongga Qude temple is the key cultural relics protection unit of the autonomous region, and Deqing Quguo temple is the key cultural relics protection unit of Shannan region. Since 1999, gangdui town has been rated as a county-level civilized and advanced town for many times.
