Yupu Township

Culture and education

On October 9, 2018, the education system of Huadu District of Guangzhou donated 180000 yuan to Yupu Central Primary School to help the development of the school, and raised 6000 yuan from 20 needy students in Yupu Central Primary School to improve their living conditions.

In 2006, Yupu Township Health Center changed the history of no professional medical staff. in 2010, Yupu Township Health Center added a doctor graduated from Tibetan medical college. in 2014, Yupu Township Health Center opened Tibetan medicine bath, and there were 5 employees in May that year.

Midui glacier is located in midui village, Yupu Township, Bomi County, 103 km away from the county, 8 km away from national highway 318, and only 2 km away from the nearest village. It is rated as one of the six most beautiful glaciers in China by National Geographic of China, and is the glacier with the lowest altitude in China. The main peak of Meidui glacier is 6800 meters above sea level, the snow line is 4600 meters above sea level, and the end is only 2400 meters above sea level. The lower end of the glacier has passed through the coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest belt. It is the most important marine glacier in Tibet and the lowest glacier in the world. due to the warm ice surface, there are often ice earthworms, ice fleas and other animals. The latitude of midui glacier is 29 n, but the end of the glacier is 44 n. The glacier in bogedo mountain of Tianshan Mountain is even lower. This is a special phenomenon in modern glaciers of China, which is closely related to the climate in the southern part of Shandong Province of Himalaya. Midui glacier is as clean as jade, with beautiful scenery, various forms and charming beauty, surrounded by groups of cattle, primitive Tibetan residents and magnificent snow mountains.
