Qiangna Township

Qiangna district was established in September 1959, and the township was changed in October 1987. In 1996, it covers an area of about 240 square kilometers and has a population of 2000. It governs 13 administrative villages, namely langduo, baga, zimagang, gangga, se'er, qiangdugang, dangzha, caiba, Minni, Longba, Jieguo, nianglong and Linba. There is the world-famous Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon and the amazing turn of Yarlung Zangbo River in the territory. Weiwei spectacular River backflow scenic spot is located at the confluence of Niyang River and Yarlung Zangbo River in qiangna township. The water of Niyang River is clear and intense, and the water of this section of Yarlung Zangbo River is turbid and slow. The breathtaking clear Niyang River flows into Yarlung Zangbo River Upstream, forming a magnificent river backflow natural landscape. The primitive forests and ice caves in Nanyi are spectacular. The traditional tribute culture and the unique folk culture of Luoba blend with each other, forming many tourist attractions with their own characteristics. Qiangna temple is located in tieqionglin, qiangna Township, Milin County, about 1km away from the township government. The temple covers an area of 5088 square meters, with a construction area of 7542.2 square meters and 9 monks. The temple was originally built in a ditch of qiangna in the 15th century, belonging to the geju sect. Later, due to the earthquake, it was moved to a new location in 1953 and changed to the Gelu sect. Up to now, the temple still worships the pig's head and the child statue of Qiangba Buddha.
