Zhongyi Township

Luolong County, Changdu City, Tibet governs the township and five village committees, namely Zhongyi village, yaxu village, zongga village, Zui village and Jiaguo village.

It is located in the southwest of Changdu City, in the west of Luolong County, adjacent to Shuodu town in the East, 51 kilometers away from the county.

The township covers an area of 622.38 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 3446 people in the township.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat and rape, and Grazing Yak, cattle, goats and sheep.

Historical evolution

Zhongyi township was established in 1959, changed to commune in 1970, and restored to township in 1984.

In 2013, the cultivation of greenhouse vegetables in Zhongyi township of Luolong county was successful.

In 2014, Zhongyi township of Luolong county built 12 greenhouses for vegetable cultivation, covering an area of 2.88 mu.

Infrastructure construction

In October 2019, the bidding notice for the construction of Madong canal project in yaxu village, Zhongyi township was issued. The construction scale: a new water intake with 5700m pipeline.

On September 1, 2020, the bidding notice for highway construction from Zui village of Zhongyi township to Wangda natural village will be issued.
