Xiandao lake is located at the northern foot of Mufu mountain, 48 kilometers away from Yangxin County. It now has jurisdiction over Dongyuan, Wangying, Guohe three townships (administrative jurisdiction belongs to Wangying town). It covers an area of 32 square kilometers and has a water area of 48000 mu. There are 1002 islands scattered in the lake. It was originally named "Qiandao Lake". Because there is an ancient plaque of "Lingtong Xiandao" hanging on the cliff beside the lake, it is renamed Xiandao lake. Due to the influence of geographical conditions, it has formed its own special and excellent microclimate environment. In the early morning, the red sun breaks through the fog, and the sunlight is shining, which is in perfect harmony with the shimmering light of the lake; in the evening, the sun sets on the Western Hills, and the red glow is all over the sky, which is very pleasing to the eye. In winter, the clouds and fog in Xiandao lake are even more attractive. The fog rises and floats on the surface of the lake, and its shape is changeable. It is a unique scenery of Xiandao lake. Xiandao lake is a provincial eco-tourism scenic spot, CCTV film and television shooting base, and a national 4A scenic spot. Together with Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou and Qiandao Lake in Canada, Xiandao lake is known as "the three largest Qiandao lakes in the world".
