Tuoba Township

Tuoba Township, karuo District, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region is located in the high altitude area in the east of karuo District, with an average altitude of 4200 meters. It is one of the pure animal husbandry townships in karuo district. It is a new county to be built with the approval of the State Council.

Chaiwei district was set up in 1959, the commune was changed in 1972, and the township was set up in 1980. When the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in 1988, Yutong, wengdagang, Guqiang, Chaiwei and dulandou were merged into Chaiwei township. Tuoba township is located in the high altitude area in the east of karuo District, with an average altitude of 4200 meters. The township is connected with Jiangda County in Tibet in the East, Gongjue county and Chaya County in Tibet in the southeast and south, Aixi Township in Tibet in the West and southwest, and laduo Township in Tibet in the north. It covers an area of 1761.61 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages and 80 natural villages (villagers' groups). Tuoba township is one of the three pure animal husbandry townships in Changdu county. The high altitude area has formed a vast natural grassland, and animal husbandry is the pillar industry of the township. The township is located in Tuoba Village (belonging to Kaji administrative village), which is located in the main traffic road of Sichuan Tibet highway (North line). Over the years, it has formed a small town integrating transportation station, accommodation, automobile repair and service. The township school, health center, supply and Marketing Cooperative, animal husbandry and veterinary station, grain station and other basic facilities are complete. It is a new county to be built with the approval of the State Council.
