Rujiao Township

It is located in the southwest of Tibet Autonomous Region, south of Gangdise mountain and upper reaches of Yarlung Zangbo River. In the 14th century A.D., the Pazhu regime established "sagadun bazong" here. Before liberation, there were two genres, the East and the west, namely monks and customs, which were directly appointed by the gaxia government from Drepung temple, sera temple and Jokhang Temple. In April 1960, Saga County People's government was formally established.

Rujiao Xiang, Saga County, Xigaze City, Tibet, is one of the seven townships in one town of Saga county. It was built in April 1961. Located in the middle of the county, 30 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 1810.51 square kilometers and has a population of 1120 (2017). It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely, kabugu, gaqiong and chalangkongre.

There are more than 10 rivers with a total length of 5000 km. Among them, the Yaluzang river originates from Zhongba, a neighboring county, and flows through saxian County for 320 km. In addition, there are more than 10 small lakes and 6 geothermal hot springs.
