Wangdan Township
Wangdan township is subordinate to Bailang County, Xigaze City, Tibet. Located in the southeast of the county, it has jurisdiction over 10 village committees. It covers an area of 227.32 square kilometers and has a population of 4642 (2017).
Bailang County governs the township. "Wangdan" is Tibetan, meaning "powerful". Wangdan district was established in 1961, the commune was changed in 1968, the district was rebuilt in 1976, and the township was set up when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in 1988. Located in the southeast of the county, the township government in Xuecun, 36 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 227.32 square kilometers and has a population of 4642 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees: Bajin, Xuexue, xiamai, Wuri, Xuemai, sidui, Bini, Sangba, qiudui and Qiumai. It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat, rape, and Grazing Yak, goat, sheep, etc. Wangdan card pad has a long history of production. There is dewajin temple, which was first built in 1230.
