Xiongma Township, Sakya County, Xigaze City, Tibet

Sakya County governs the township. Xiongma township was set up in 1960, the commune was changed in 1972, and the township was rebuilt in 1984. Located in the east of the county, 106 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 81 square kilometers and has a population of 5100. It governs 13 village committees including shengkeze, xiabuxiong, qiongzi, Jilong, jidui, WangDui, jiandui, qianggui, deqingzi, Xiongma, Desa, Dibu and jiangga. In the semi agricultural and semi pastoral rural areas, mainly agriculture, highland barley, rape, wheat, peas and buckwheat are planted, and sheep, goats, yaks and cattle are raised.
