Change from Tibet to Township

Jiangzi County governs the township. In February 1987, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, the former canggai Township and chugu Township were merged into canggai township. Located in the north of the county, 20 kilometers away from the county.

Introduction to the countryside

It covers an area of 124.85 square kilometers and has a population of 2756 (2017). It has jurisdiction over seven village committees, namely Yayi, zanggui, Daer, zawuda, zawupu, chugu, xiaergang and Qiwu. We should give priority to agriculture and develop both agriculture and animal husbandry. In agriculture, highland barley, wheat, pea and rape are mainly planted, while in animal husbandry, cattle and sheep are mainly raised. The industry is mainly based on the processing of agricultural and livestock products. In December 1986 and November 1991, it was rated as the advanced forestry collective by the Afforestation Committee of the autonomous region.

Means of getting rich

Zewuda village, canggai Township, Jiangzi County, has been famous for its weaving skills since ancient times. In 1994, with the support of the county Party committee and the county government, it began to inherit and develop the weaving skills, and organized local women to do it. It can earn tens of thousands of yuan a year, which gives local women a new way to get rich.
