Zixi town is located in the western suburb of Lucheng, the capital of Chuxiong City. Dashipu, the seat of the town government, is 10 kilometers away from the city government. Zixi mountain, a National Forest Park and provincial scenic spot, is included. National Highway 320, an (ning) Chu (Xiong) Expressway, Guangzhou (Tong) Dali Railway, and Zixi mountain tourist Ring Road pass through it. It borders Lucheng town in the East, Donghua town in the south, Donggua town and Luhe town in the north, and Yulu Township in Nanhua County in the West.

The landform in the territory is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. It is a shallow cut undulating gentle hill basin and ridge undulating low hill terrain. The highest altitude is 2502m and the lowest is 1663m. The main rivers are Majin river of Jinsha River system originated from muzhang village committee and Baiyi river of Yuanjiang River system originated from Yulu township of Nanhua County.

Climatic characteristics
